How to copy Blu-ray/DVD to Nexus 7/Nexus 10 with MacBook, MacBook Pro etc?

Summary: With the excellent Mac Blu-ray/DVD Ripper for Nexus, you can easily convert and transfer Blu-ray & DVD movies to your Google Nexus 10/Google Nexus 7 for smoothly playback via your MacBook, MacBook air, MacBook Pro, iMac etc.

Both Google Nexus 10′s 2560-by-1600-pixel screen and the Nexus 7′s 1280×800-pixel screen are great for watching movies. However, just like other Android os tablets, the Nexus 10/Nexus 7 still come with no BD drive or DVD drive. So if you have some Blu-ray and DVD movie collections, you’ll need to convert Blu-ray/DVD to Nexus 10/Nexus 7 supported video formats first and then transfer the converted videos to your Google Tablet for watching.

Luckily to all Mac users, Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper for Mac is a dynamic Blu-ray/DVD ripping tool that can help you rip and convert Blu-ray/DVD to nexus highly supported MP4 video files with high output video quality and fast ripping speed on mac OS X (Include Mountain Lion 10.8 and Mavericks 10.9). The windows version is Blu-ray Ripper. Below is how to:

Free Download the Mac Blu-ray/DVD to Nexus Converter:

Guide: Convert, Transfer and Play Blu-ray/DVD movies on Nexus 7/Nexus 10 under Mac OS X

1. Add BD/DVD movies.

Add your BD/DVD files by clicking the “Load disc” button and selecting the files you want to rip from your computer’s hard drive. ISO image files and IFO files are also supported. After the files are loaded, you can preview them on the right viewing window and take snapshots of your favorite movie scene.

2. Choose output format

There are optimized format for Galaxy TabPro, Galaxy Note Pro, Google Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Kindle Fire HDX, Nook HD tablet, DreamTab etc.

Find the optimized videos for the Nexus 10 under "Android > Google Nexus 10 H.264 Video (*.mp4)".

And select "Android > Google Nexus 7 H.264 Video (*.mp4)" for your Nexus 7.

Basically the Common Video >> H.264 Video (*.mp4) is an universal format for Android tablets and smartphones.

If you like, you can click “Settings” to change the video encoder, resolution, frame rate, etc. as you wish. I found the file size and video quality is based more on bitrate than resolution which means itrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.

3. Start the Blu-ray to Nexus 7/Nexus 10 Conversion on Mac.

When you are satisfied with all the settings, you can click “Convert” button and let the software do the DVD to MP4 conversion. After the ripping, you can click “Open” to locate the converted MP4 video files and just transfer them to your Android tablet/phone from your Mac without limitations!

So there you have it. Pretty simple! now you can watch DVD movies on your Nexus 7/10 thru a Mac. Have fun!
